InstructorThe strength of membrane is that it can absorb the shock from the thermal contraction and thermal expansion occurring from the LNG at the extreme low temperature of 160 degrees below zero. Now, let’s take a closer look by going inside the KC-1.

InstructorThis is the image of the KC-1 membrane. Membrane conducts straightening of the crease in accordance with the LNG storage. When the LNG is drained, the expanded crease returns back to its initial place.

InstructorNext is the KC-1 insulation system. Primary and secondary membrane panels are installed closely on KC-1, therefore, in case of first LNG barrier leakage, it minimizes the low temperature thermal loss.

InstructorThe core technology of the LNG transport vessel is the cargo hold, thus, we at KC LNG Tech, have completely secured the problems related to existing cargoholds and created a safe and practical KC-1.

InstructorWith the improvement in the insulation efficiency, KC-1 is a cargo hold with a 20% decrease in the occurrence rate of BOG.

InstructorAnd all of you are probably aware of the importance of the role of the pump-tower within the tank that can withstand a live load of LNG.

InstructorWe are confident that the pump-tower in our KC-1 is the safest pump-tower that takes environmental changes of the transport vessel into consideration including movement of the vessel, internal and pressure temperature.

InstructorLastly, I will explain about the installation method of KC-1’s membrane. For membrane installation, it can be assembled in a multi-panel form, as opposed to a single panel form. This installation technique does not need to adhere to the size of the hold, and it is a simple task.

InstructorBy implementing the latest corrugation technology applied to the stainless steel plate and plasma type fillet welding, any twisting or cracking during transport have been completely secured in the membrane.

InstructorAs you can see, by installing panels in various parts simultaneously, the work time has also been greatly reduced.

InstructorKC-1, produced by optimum technology, is currently actively being used in many countries around the world, as a means to expand the supply of LNG.

MasterThe metallic material membrane in KC-1 is made of 2 layers of barriers, so we don’t need to be concerned. And even if leakage of the first barrier occurs, the close proximity of the second barrier will protect the LNG, ensuring its safety.
